THE WALMART TOY LAB
Walmart has one day every year where they invite a bunch of kids – from the world’s top kid influencers to normal, everyday non-social-media-famous children – to come to a conference room in Bentonville, Arkansas, and play with like a bajillion toys. And then a bunch of smart people watch the kids play and take notes, and then from these notes Walmart decides which toys are going to be the top toys of that year. It’s pretty wild. So we wanted to bring this experience to the kids not lucky enough to attend the event, and create an experience where children all over the world could play with the best toys of the year.

Creating interactive narratives is an absolute headache. It’s a fun headache. But a headache nonetheless. Basically, you’re writing a movie and designing a website at the same time. This interactive branded series created in partnership with Eko and Walmart allows participants to feel like they were collaborating in real time with some of their favorite influencers. And it allowed me to have a bunch of migraines again.
